In addition to his commercial work, Simon enjoys personal projects, such as seascapes from Cornwall to Scotland, Yorkshire winter landscapes and traveling around Asia and India.

As a Spanish speaker, he has travelled extensively, documenting the Spanish economic crisis and traveling in much of Latin America. A recent project focused on Colombia, capturing personalities on his travels, including images of soldiers in the 'Lost City’ and ex-gang members of Bogota’s notorious barrio Egipto.
